Group 5,
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed reviewing your videos over what you learned in the course this semester as well as your syllabus implementation video. It was really nice to see everyone's faces in the first video. I really enjoyed your implementation video as it was very informative and provided me with an awesome visual of what would be covered in your program. I really liked each of your perspectives on what we have learned this semester and I found that information to be insightful and accurate to how I felt about this semester as well. Great job on your presentation and good luck for the rest of the semester. Thank you for sharing!
Group 5,
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the well-developed final showcase project that your group has put together. Your topic of learning environments helped to provide relevant and practical information that will be useful to all learners. I consider my learning environment to be a healthy and productive work area. I have several different things in my learning environment that may not be typical of some learning styles, but it is helpful for me. I enjoyed how your presentation focused on ways to improve your learning environment and the importance of maintaining a good learning environment. Thanks for sharing your vision with us all.
Hello Group 5,
ReplyDeleteI really appreciated your honest reflections. You made some good suggestions and observations of our experience for the course. I understood your point when you spoke of not learning enough simply by reading what other groups had learned and shared in their work. However, I can't imagine how well we would have developed an understanding if we were responsible for covering all of the topics individually. We would have only grazed the surface that way too.
Your implementation video was also quality work. I like that you provided the slides which delivered organized information and supporting visuals but also had a narrator explaining the significance of the information. This is a good example of a learning tool that appealed to several different learning styles.
Great work!
Hi Group 5! Thank you for sharing your final showcase with us! Your implementation video is visually effective and well thought out. I enjoyed how developed each module is. One thing I notice is that you are teaching students the "how" of effective learning environments rather than applying what you've learned about effective learning environments in order to teach. I wonder how your group can use your knowledge of the cultural, power, and knowledge environments to successfully teach students the content.
ReplyDeleteHi, all,
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting together two lovely videos. From my point of view, two strong points in your implementation were: 1. The use of narrative in the exploration of the Power Environment. I've done quite a bit of work in this space over the past few years and have found that few things move people and shift power around as well as stories. I can see the "Danger of a Single Story" video / concept being transformational for your learners. 2. The use of role play in the mock scenario. As a language teacher, I've seen first hand how understanding moves into action when dramatization is used in the learning environment. It's a powerful tool for active learning and appropriate to the topic.
Best of luck as you continue learning!
Group 5 thank you for sharing your final showcase with everyone! I thought the overall presentation was great and very well planned and thought out. I do like the fact that in your video you show the difference between your objective and goals for your syllabus. I also thought that the rational next to the main activities was a great balance to show us what they where and why those were the once that were chosen for your syllabus. I really enjoyed watching your presentation and loved the fact that you put a lot time and effort into helping us understand all the rational behind everything you did in the class.
